            Privacy-First Design: EchoFlow runs 100% locally on your Mac. No data is ever sent to our servers. Your text, voice preferences, and AI summaries stay on your device.
        

1. Overview

EchoFlow ("we", "us", or "our") is a native macOS application for text-to-speech with AI summaries. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.

The short version: We don't collect your data. Everything runs locally on your Mac.

2. Data We DON'T Collect

EchoFlow is designed with privacy as a core principle:

No text data: Text you read is never sent anywhere
No audio data: Speech synthesis happens on-device
No AI data: Summaries are generated locally via Ollama
No telemetry: We don't track app usage or behavior
No analytics: No third-party analytics in the app
No accounts: No registration or login required

3. Data We Collect

3.1 License Validation

When you purchase and activate EchoFlow:

License key: Stored locally on your Mac
Machine identifier: Anonymous hash to verify license

This data is used only to validate your purchase. We use Gumroad/LemonSqueezy for payment processing - see their privacy policies for payment data handling.

3.2 Website Analytics

Our marketing website (echoflow.funnel.leinss.xyz) uses Umami, a privacy-focused analytics service:

No cookies required
No personal data collected
Only aggregate page views tracked
Self-hosted in the EU

4. Local Data Storage

EchoFlow stores preferences and data locally on your Mac:

Location: ~/Library/Application Support/EchoFlow/
Contents: Voice settings, hotkey preferences, model files
Control: Delete this folder anytime to remove all app data

5. Third-Party Services (Optional)

EchoFlow can optionally integrate with:

Ollama (Local LLM): Runs entirely on your machine at localhost:11434. No external connections.

We do not integrate with cloud AI services. All processing is local.

6. Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Since we don't collect personal data from the app, most data rights don't apply. However:

Right to Information: This policy tells you everything
Right to Deletion: Delete ~/Library/Application Support/EchoFlow/
Right to Access: Your data is already on your machine

7. Children's Privacy

EchoFlow is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy occasionally. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
