1. Acceptance of Terms

By purchasing, downloading, or using EchoFlow ("the Software"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Software.

2. License Grant

Upon purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to:

• Install and use EchoFlow on your personal Mac devices
• Use all features included in your purchased version
• Receive updates and improvements at no additional cost

License terms:

• One license covers all your personal Macs (no device limit)
• License is tied to your email/license key, not transferable
• Business use requires separate licensing (contact us)

3. Restrictions

You may NOT:

• Redistribute, resell, or sublicense the Software
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software
• Remove or modify any proprietary notices
• Use the Software for illegal purposes
• Share your license key with others

4. Payment and Refunds

4.1 Pricing

EchoFlow is sold as a one-time purchase of $49 USD. Prices may change for future versions but your license remains valid.

4.2 Refund Policy

30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied with EchoFlow for any reason, contact us within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. No questions asked.

5. Free Trial

EchoFlow offers a free trial with full functionality but limited to 10 sessions per day. The trial:

• Includes all features (TTS, AI summaries, book reader)
• Has no time limit
• Converts to unlimited use upon license activation

6. Updates and Support

6.1 Updates

Your license includes:

• All bug fixes and security updates
• New features added to your version
• macOS compatibility updates

6.2 Support

We provide support via:

• GitHub Issues: For bug reports
• Documentation: Online help and FAQ

Response time: Typically within 48 hours for email support.

7. Intellectual Property

EchoFlow and all associated content (code, design, documentation) are owned by us and protected by copyright laws. Your license grants usage rights only, not ownership.

Third-party components:

• Kokoro TTS model - Apache 2.0 License
• Ollama integration - MIT License
• Other dependencies listed in acknowledgments

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

EchoFlow is provided "AS IS" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for any particular purpose
• Accuracy of AI-generated summaries
• Compatibility with all systems or configurations

System requirements: macOS 14+ (Sonoma), Apple Silicon recommended for best performance.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Lost profits or data
• Business interruption

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Software ($49).

10. Termination

Your license continues indefinitely unless:

• You violate these terms (we may revoke your license)
• You request a refund (license revoked upon refund)

Upon termination, you must uninstall the Software and delete all copies.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Berlin, Germany. For EU consumers, mandatory consumer protection laws of your country of residence apply.

12. EU Consumer Rights

If you are an EU consumer:

• Withdrawal right: You have 14 days to withdraw from digital purchases. By downloading and using the Software, you acknowledge that you lose this right once the download begins.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
